Team of the Month – November

Team of the month - NovemberAfter reviewing the performances of Macedonian football players over the month of November, we put a list of the best starting 11 during that span.  We compiled stats such as games played, goals, assists, and clean sheets to determine which players deserved to be on the team.

The Macedonian starting 11 for the month of November will be a 4-2-3-1 formation that includes the following players:

Tome Pacovski
The choice at goalkeeper came down to Tome Pacovski and Darko Tofiloski.  Both players made four appearances during the month and kept one clean sheet for their respective teams but over those four games, Pacovski conceded fewer goals than Tofiloski so he was given the edge at goalkeeper.

Daniel Georgievski
Daniel played in four games over the month of November, three with Šibenik and one with the Macedonian national team.  During difficult circumstances, Georgievski performed well despite his club facing serious financial difficulties.  Several Šibenik players decided to boycott some games but Georgievski decided to play and was the best option at RB on the team of the month.

Daniel Mojsov
Mojsov was one of the easy choices on the team of the month for November.  Daniel played in four games for Vojvodina and one for Macedonia and he was part of defenses that did not concede a goal during that time while also playing the maximum 450 minutes in those five games during November.

Boban Grncarov
Grncarov featured in three games for Lierse during the month and managed to score his first goal of the season in the game against OH Leuven on 5 November.  He was given the slight edge over his closest competitior Vance Sikov.

Aleksandar Lazevski
The battle at LB came down to Aleksandar Lazevski and Zlatko Tanevski.  Both played in three games during the month but his solid display in the Serbian derby between Partizan and Crvena Zvezda gave him the advantage over Tanevski.  Both players benefited by Goran Popov not playing any games this month because of an injury.

Stefan Spirovski
Stefan made six appearances in the month of November, four with Borac Čačak and two with the Macedonian U21 national team.  His club team made a huge achievement by reaching the semi-finals of the Serbian Cup while the Macedonian U21 team compiled four points from the two games against Denmark and Faroe Islands.

Nikola Gligorov
Gligorov featured in five games during the month and scored one goal for Alki.  His goal came on a great shot from outside of the area on 6 November.  Nikola also returned to the senior national team of Macedonia by playing in the Albania friendly.

Goran Pandev
Playing on the right wing on the team of the month will be Goran Pandev from Napoli.  His performance against Juventus when he scored two goals won him a place on this team.  Prior to the game, Besart Ibraimi had the edge but after the two goals by Pandev against the table leaders in Italy, Goran moved ahead of Besart Ibraimi.  Besart scored three goals in November but all came on penalties and playing in the Ukrainian second division ended up hurting him.

Ilco Naumoski
Naumoski played in four games during November and scored two goals for Mattersburg.  Ilco should have been credited with another goal in the month but his valid looking goal for Macedonia in the Albania friendly was somehow disallowed by the assistant referee.

Ivan Trickovski
Ivan was chosen on the left wing after the success of APOEL in the Champions League.  Trickovski did not score a goal in November nor did he have an assist but he still put together good performances to propel APOEL to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Filip Ivanovski
Playing as the lone striker will be the the Vardar captain who scored six goals in five games during the month of November.  Filip scored the six goals in two games.  Two of his goals came in the 2:1 victory over Rabotnicki while Ivanovski then scored four goals during a 5:1 win over Napredok.
