The 22-year-old midfielder Gjorgji Tanuhsev is currently looking to win a contract from Hungarian top division side Kecskemét.
Gjorgji Tanushev originally joined Kecskemét on trial in late June. A number of players who formerly played in the Serbian league, as Tanushev did as he last featured for Proleter from Novi Sad, were brought on trial to show their qualities. Tanushev has remained with Kecskemét ever since and took part in several friendlies, including today’s exhibition against fellow Hungarian side Debrecen. Gjorgji played the 1st half in a 3:1 victory for Kecskemét.
As the Hungarian season gets underway later this month, Kecskemét should decide in the near future whether to permanently sign Tanushev. Gjorgji, a Strumica native, has been capped for several of Macedonia’s youth national teams, but is no longer eligible for those squads since he was born in 1991. Moving forward, players must be born in 1992 or later to be eligible for the U21 national team, 1995 or later for the U19 national team and so on.
His potential new team Kecskemét finished in 7th place last season out of the 16 teams that make up Hungary’s top division.
