The football federation of Macedonia has published an official announcement regarding the tickets sale for the two upcoming qualifying matches against Scotland and Netherlands.
Group 9 teams friendlies
All 5 teams from the 9th Qualification group for WC 2010 have used 20th of August to play friendlies that will serve as last preparations before the start of the qualification tournament.
VPL – Round 25
Round 24 was played in the Victorian Premier League and Macedonian Australian club Preston Makedonia disposed of Fawkner (4-1), while Altona Magic Vardar drew with A.I.S (2-2).
Trajanov injured, Macedonia with 16 players
Vanco Trajanov got injured in a car accident while driving to Sofia from where he should have flied to Luxembourg. Katanec decided not to call up any new player, so the national team will be consisted of 16 players for the friendly match against Luxembourg.

Luxembourg squad announced
Luxembourgian national team coach Guy Hellers these days anounced the squad for the home friendly match against Macedonia on 20th of August. He called up 21 players from which only three of them are playing outside the domestic championship with FC Metz's player Jeff Strasser being the biggest name on the list.

In the last match of the first round, Milano have defeated newcomers Metalurg with 2-1. Thus, the first round of the 17th football championship is now completed. Makedonija Gjorche Petrov are the table-leaders.
