Bobi Stojkoski, Alekso Mackov and Dobre Dimovski will no longer be managers of national teams.
The board of directors in FFM had a meeting today and, among other things, brought several decisions regarding some of the national teams managers. Bobi Stojkoski, Alekso Mackov and Dobre Dimovski will be replaced by new names who are yet to be revealed.
Bobi Stojkoski led the U17 team in a difficult qualifying group on a tournament in Cyprus. Macedonia was in group along with France, England and Cyprus. The team lost all three matches and ended on the last place.
Alekso Mackov used to lead the U19s and lastly the U20s. With the U19s, Mackov led the team in a qualifying tournament played in Macedonia in a group that also featured Turkey, Montenegro and Faroe Islands. The team finished on the third place with same number of points as first and second placed teams but with a worse goal difference. The team was also unlucky to be the best third-placed team due to worse goal difference.
Dobre Dimovski, the women national team manager, will also leave his post. He has offered his resignation and it was accepted by the Federation but he will still lead the team on the next match – against Hungary on the 26th of November away which will actually be his 100th as national team manager.
The football federation has also accepted the nominations for the ‘Best in Macedonian football’ for the season 2013/14 but they will be revealed later, after remaining football bodies give their opinion.
