The U19 and U17 Macedonia women’s national teams got their opponents for the next EURO qualifications.
The U19s will play as hosts to the Group 6 qualification tournament featuring the national teams of Sweden (Pot A), Northern Ireland (Pot B) and Montenegro (Pot D). The mini-tournament will take place from 15 to 20 September 2015 with the top two teams advancing to the elite round of qualifications where will form 6 group of 4 teams. England and Spain as best teams receive a bye to the elite round. The 6 group winners and the best runner-up will qualify to the 2016 UEFA Women’s U19 EURO in Slovakia.
Northern Ireland (Pot B) will also be Macedonia’s opponent in the U17 qualifications. Macedonia has been drawn in Group 5 together with Italy (Pot A) and Bosnia-Herzegovina (Pot C). Again Macedonia will host the qualification tournament, from 28 September until 3 October 2015. The qualification system is the same as the one for the U19s with Belarus hosting the EURO and Germany and France having a bye to the elite round. An interesting fact is that for the first Andorra will be fielding an U17 women’s national team.
