Vardar, Turnovo and Kozhuf Miravci used their home field advanatge to celebrate wins in the first leg of the 1/4-finals.
Title favourites Vardar clinched a 3:1 win over Renova, an advantage that will be hard to overcome for the team from Djepchishte. It was the visiting team who opened the score with a masterpiece by 17-year old Jusufi from distance, but later Vardar managed to make a total come back. Asani with a beautiful 25 meters free kick goal levelled the score four minutes before the break. Vardar was attacking but failing the score until the last 20- minutes when Petrov and Temelkov scored one each bringing joy to the home fans. Despite conceding one goal, this is a good result for the title favourites.
Asani’s free kick masterpiece:
Turnovo recorded the highest win today humiliating the Second League side of Drita with 5:0 in a game where Bulgarian striker Dolapchiev was a hat-trick hero. The visitors were successfully keeping a goalless draw until the last moments of the first half when their defence eventually broke with Turnovo scoring twice and going into the changing rooms with a two goal advantage. The other three goals were scored in just six minutes, from the 70th to the 75th minute. We can already say that Turnovo is in the semi-finals as it is a science-fiction that the Bogovinje based team can shock Turnovo in the return leg.
Second League side Kozhuf from Miravci beat the dead last First league team of Teteks with a lone goal. The winner was scored by Ilievski in the middle of the second half.
The last first leg match between the third Second League side Gorno Lisiche and the other title favourite in Rabotnichki is scheduled for next week.
