Sloga J. to play in Second League

Former Macedonian champion Sloga Jugomagnat returns to the Second League with a different name.

Once a big name in Macedonian football, Sloga Jugomagnat were relegated to the lowest tier in domestic football after their boycott against the Federation in 2008/09 season along with Makedonija Gjorche Petrov. In the past season they have competed in the third league North under the name Albarsa and they have managed to win the league. However, in the promotion playoff they lost to Tiverija and failed to promote to the Second League. Nevertheless, the club made a deal with Prilep club Korzo and they will take their place in the Second League. The club will first have the name Korzo and will play in Chair, and after New Year they will change the name to Shkupi.

The new club has also brought in several new players. Minas Osmani, Mentor Idrizi, Burhan Mustafa and Boban Djangarovski are the team’s latest acquisitions – experienced players who will try and help the club in their objective in returning to the top level.
