Sumulikoski completes Preston move

Sumulikoski in Preston Macedonian national team member Velice Sumulikoski completed his move from Ipswich Town to another English Championship side, Preston North End, for a fee believed to be about £400.000.

Last week we reported as Preston North End sent an offer to Ipswich Town for Sumulikoski again after in March this year he was unhappy with former manager Jim Magilton who blocked a loan move to Preston. After completed the medical tests and agreeing the terms with the club, today Sumulikoski completed the transfer that is believed to be in the region of £400.000 and signed a three-year-long contract with Preston North End.

Speaking to PNE Player Shumi said: “I am very happy to be here at this brilliant club, with a brilliant manager and staff. I wanted to come here before but we had complications but now I am here. I am a defensive midfielder and I will give everything for my new manager. We have a long season ahead and hopefully I can work hard in many of those games.” 

Velice Sumulikoski joined Ipswich Town from Turkish side Bursaspor in January 2008 for a fee of £500,000, signing a contract until June 2010. Since then, Sumulikoski has made 33 starts and 10 sub appearances, scoring once. The 28-years-old midfielder has 60 appearances and one scored goal for he Macedonian national team.
