Second League side Shkupi added two new players to its squad, both coming from the First league.
The Skopje based team who played under the name of Korzo in the first half of the season will continue with the name Shkupi. Today, the popular Pigeons brought two new players in order to strengthen their squad.
Both players signed by Shkupi are coming from Shkendija. Winger Ardijan Nihiu and central midfielder Muharem Bajrami, who were both released by Shkendija after the club’s management wasn’t satisfied with their performances, have landed with Shkupi in time for the second half of the season. The 35-year old Nuhiu actually returns to Shkupi after playing for the club earlier in his careers. These are not the first reinforcements for Shkupi as they have already added Mario Desnikj from Madjari Solidarnost, Florent Osmani from Gostivar and 19-year old talent Fisnik Zuka who was part of Eintracht Braunschweig’s youth academy. They also hired a new coach in Zekirija Ramadan to replace Nedjat Husein.
Shkupi currently lies on the 10th position of the Second League, the last spot that leads to direct relegation to the Third League.
