Shkendija to play six friendlies at their camp

Shkendija will also be heading to Turkey where they have arranged six friendlies.

The Tetovo based club will travel to Turkey on Monday where they will be holding their camp in Antalya, the same destination as their rival Vardar. The two Macedonian sides won’t face each other in a friendly, but they will play various opponents from the rest of the world. Unlike Vardar, who will only face European teams, Shkendija has set up friendlies with both Asian and European teams teams. All in all, Shkendija will play 6 games, two less than Vardar.

They will share one opponent in Ukrainian team Metalurh Zaporizhya. Metalurh will first face Shkendija on the 11th of February, while three days later they will square up against Vardar. From the rest of Shkendija’s opponents, the most notable team is Pohang Steelers. Furthermore, Dordoi, the club from Kyrgyzstan, features a Macedonian player on its roster in Perica Stancheski.
