Shkendija desperately wants Dejan Blazhevski and therefore has made an offer that stunned Turnovo, an offer that they will have a difficult time refusing.
The new Shkendija sponsor, Ecolog, that came in August has started planning to strengthen the club in the winter transfer window in order to qualify for a place in a European competition next season. To achieve that, Shkendija wants to add the best and most proven player from the domestic league in left winger Dejan Blazhevski. Dejan is the top goalscorer at the midway point with 19 goals.
A source close to the club told us that Shkendija has offered Turnovo €150.000 for the services of the 28-year old Blazhevski. Turnovo does not want to sell their best player, but this is an offer that they will have a difficult time refusing. The offer is on stand-by and the club’s board is contemplating its next move. Selling Blazhevski will probably mean that they are out of the title race, while refusing the offer will financially be a bad move since his contract ends in June of 2014.
Since joining Turnovo in the summer of 2012 from the Greek club Pierikos, Blazhevski has been in outstanding form. He was also called up a few times in the national team, earning 2 appearances and scoring one goal. The public opinion is that he deserves more playing time in the national team, something that never happened under former coach Chedomir Janevski.
Meanwhile, Shkendija is also close to reaching an agreement with the best player in the unrecognized league of Kosovo, a midfielder by the name of Mentor Zhdrella who currently captains Hysi. Furthermore, rumors are circulating that Shkendija is involved in talks with Pelister and Litex to have striker Stênio Júnior join its ranks. Stênio is on loan at Pelister from Bulgarian club Litex.
