Shkendija granted European license

After an appeal, the committee of licensing for the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) has granted Shkendija a license for European matches organized by UEFA for the 2012/13 season.

Several weeks ago, the FFM licensing committee declined to offer Shkendija a license for UEFA organized matches for the 2012/13 season.  However, the Tetovo based club filed an appeal and after an extensive review, the committee unanimously adopted a ruling to grant Shkendija a conditional license for UEFA organized matches for the 2012/13 season.  Thus, Shkendija, who finished in third place this past season, will now be allowed to participate in the UEFA Europa League qualifications.

Meanwhile, the committee also reiterated that Shkendija, like other applicants, remains in the process of obtaining a license for next season’s domestic championship.
