Agim Ibraimi and Maribor needed penalties to get past Stefan Ristovski and Celje. It was 2:2 after 120 minutes but Maribor won 3:2 on penalties to win the domestic cup trophy, thus completing the double crown after also winning the league title. Ibraimi played until the 116th minute when he received his second yellow card of the game and was sent off. Agim had just received his first yellow card in the 113th minute so he picked up two quick bookings to exit the game. Ristovski, on the other hand, played all 120 minutes for Celje and was also shown a yellow card in the 14th minute. Stefan did not take a penalty for Celje in the shootout.

Meanwhile, in Romania, Kristijan Naumovski and Dinamo Bucureşti also won the domestic cup by defeating Rapid Bucureşti 1:0.
