For the third consecutive game, attacker Samir Fazli found the back of the net for Jong Heerenveen in their 1:0 win over Jong Twente.

Samir Fazli started up front for Jong Heerenveen/Emmen and played all 90 minutes in today’s encounter against Jong Twente.  Fazli gave his club the three points by scoring the lone goal of the game in the 54th minute.  Samir was able to connect on a cross from the right by teammate Rajiv van La Parra before sending his shot to the back of the net.  With the narrow victory, Jong Heerenveen/Emmen handed Jong Twente their first loss of the season in the Eredivisie beloften.  Jong Twente now has nine wins, three draws, and one loss after thirteen rounds but remains in first place with 30 points while Jong Heerenveen/Emmen moved to sixth place with 21 points.

After the game, Samir Fazli told Heereenven’s official website that it’s always nice to score goals and he is happy that the team is playing well at the moment.  He also said that his good recent form can be attributed to being fit after coming back from an injury.
