Gligorov got the better of Markoski

Nikola Gligorov and Alki managed to narrowly edge Bojan Markoski and Enosis in today’s lone game that was played in Cyprus.

Nikola Gligorov started in defensive midfield for Alki and played the entire game as did Bojan Markoski of Enosis who was deployed at right CB.  Markoski’s teammate Petar Milosevski stayed on the bench as the #2 keeper behind Georgi Petkov.  Alki celebrated a controversial 1:0 home victory with the lone strike being an own goal by Enosis player Kristof Imschoot.  Enosis felt the ball didn’t completely cross the line but the referee ruled it a goal and that happened to be the only goal of the game.  Gligorov had a good chance for Alki just before halftime but his shot went just wide of the goal as Nikola also received a yellow card during the game.

With the win, Alki switched places on the table with Enosis.  Alki moved to 8th place with 16 points while Enosis dropped to 9th place with 15 points after thirteen rounds in the Cypriot top division.
