Attacker Samir Fazli did not travel with the Heerenveen squad for a training camp in Portugal and has been told to seek a new club.
Heerenveen has told Samir Fazli that he will be allowed to leave the club for a reasonable fee. Fazli remained at home and did not accompany the club for their training camp in Portugal. Both Samir and defender Youssef El-Akchaoui did not make the trip and have been told to seek new clubs.
Fazli played for the Jong Heerenveen/Emmen team during the first half of the season but did not get an opportunity with the first team. Samir had a difficult relationship with Heerenveen manager Ron Jans and did not feature in the future plans of the coach. Therefore, he will be allowed to leave Heerenveen during the January transfer window for a reasonable fee.
