Renova defeated Metalurg 1:0 in the lone First League game played on Saturday, moving Vardar one step closer to clinching the league title.

Since Renova and Shkendija share the same stadium in Tetovo and both were scheduled to play home games in this round, one game had to be moved to Saturday.  That happened to be the Renova vs. Metalurg game, which the home side won 1:0 to move Vardar that much closer to clinching the league title.  The lone goal of the game was scored by Muharem Bajrami in the 76th minute as Metalurg finished the game with 10 men when Ilija Nestorovski was shown a red card in the 54th minute.

With a Vardar win tomorrow away to Sileks, the table leaders would officially claim the league title for the 2011/12 season.  However, if they fail to win in Kratovo, Vardar will have to wait a little bit longer to officially celebrate the winning of the trophy.
