Roma scouted Aleksandar Lazevski during Serbian derby

Aleksandar Lazevski (right)A.S. Roma’s sports director Walter Sabatini was spotted in the stands during the big derby between Partizan and Crvena Zvezda yesterday.

As Italian media reports, Walter Sabatini was looking into potential new defenders for his club and Aleksandar Lazevski was one of the players that Roma was scouting.  After the club lost Nicolas Burdisso for several months due to an injury, Sabatini started his search for defenders and was present at the big Serbian derby between Crvena Zvezda and Partizan.  Besides the left-back Lazevski, Sabatini was also following Aleksandar Miljković and Bulgarian Ivan Ivanov who play at right-back and left CB, respectively.

Aleksandar Lazevski was born on 21.01.1988 in Serbia, but chose to represent Macedonia internationally.  He plays at LB and has made seven appearances for the Macedonian national team, with his debut coming during the opening game of EURO 2012 qualifying against Slovakia.  Lazevski played the entire match yesterday and had a good performance which might please Sabatini. 

Roma is currently 5th on the table in the Italian Serie A with 17 points as the club is managed by former Spanish footballer Luis Enrique.
