The 25 years old macedonian right back has signed a contract with French side AJ Auxerre. Auxerre are currently in the relegation zone, but knowing their potential things should change. 

Robert Popov, who has played for FK Belasica in the famous generation together with Goran Pandev, Aco Stojkov, Goran Maznov and several other excellent footballers, should help Auxerre in the fierce battle at the bottom of the table. Popov has moved from Belasica to bulgarian side PFC Litex Lovech in 2003 for an ammount of 200.000 Euros. He has won one national cup with Litex in 2004. Robert Popov has 15 appearances for macedonian national team so far. He has signed a 3 years long contract with AJ Auxerre. The official price is not announced but it is supposed to be somewhere betweem 550.000 euros and 750.000 euros.
