Ristovski made debut for Crotone

Stefan Ristovski made his debut for the first team of Crotone during today’s Coppa Italia match against Bologna.

Stefan Ristovski started on the bench for Crotone before he entered the game in the 66th minute replacing Pedro Correia.  Ristovski played at RB and did fine during his 29 minutes on the field, including the five minutes of stoppage time.  Crotone was losing 4:0 when Ristovski entered the game but the final score turned out to be 4:2.  Ristovski actually played a part in the second goal for Crotone in the 80th minute when he took a quick throw in from the right which reached one of his teammates whose low cross from the right caused a penalty.  The Crotone attacker inside the area was fouled from behind while getting ready to connect with the low cross so the referee pointed to the spot and the Bologna defender was also shown a straight red card for the bad foul.

Crotone actually played much better than the score would indicate.  The possession was equal between the two teams and Crotone even attempted more shots on goal while also outplaying Bologna for the majority of the 2nd half.  However, the final score is the only thing that counts and Bologna prevailed 4:2.  Therefore, Crotone was eliminated from the Italian Cup while Bologna will advance to the next round of the competition where they will face Juventus.
