According to Croatian newspapers, Rijeka is looking to bring Rabotnicki striker Borce Manevski to their team.
Rabotnicki striker Borce Manevski who scored 19 goals last season is being targeted by Croatian club Rijeka. The 19 goals that Manevski scored last season only trailed Hristijan Kirovski who scored one more goal than Manevski. Borce was rewarded for his importance to Rabotnicki before the start of this season when he was named captain replacing Nikola Gligorov who left the club to sign with a team in Cyprus.
The biggest obstacle to Manevski signing with Rijeka is the fact that Rabotnicki might not want to sell him since they have a very good opportunity to reach the third round of the Europa League qualifications. Rabotnicki is expected to easily get past their next opponents from San Marino but the third round will be much tougher and Rabotnicki will need Manevski if they plan on pulling off a surprise. Manevski is 26 years old and like many players in Macedonia, the goal is always to move abroad so Manevski may be tempted to join the Croatian club. He was born in Bitola and has spent the majority of his career in Macedonia. Due to his good form with Rabotnicki, Manevski has been rewarded with two caps for the Macedonian national team.
