Aleksandar Lazevski has extended his contract with Partizan until the summer of 2013.
Several days ago, Partizan announced that Macedonian defender Aleksandar Lazevski has penned a contract extension that will keep him in a Partizan uniform until the summer of 2013. Lazevski is currently out with an injury but Partizan liked him enough to offer him a new contract. He is usually deployed as a LB and Lazevski is solid defensively but he is not known as someone who likes to go forward from that position. Partizan recently signed Vladimir Volkov to provide competition and he is different than Lazevski as he is more offensive minded but not as good defensively.
Lazevski is still only 23 years old and was born in Serbia but he decided to represent Macedonia. He was formerly a member of the youth teams of Macedonia and when healthy, he is usually convened to the senior national team. However, the biggest problem for Lazevski is that he has Goran Popov in front of him at LB and Popov is considered one of the better players on the team so it will be tough for Lazevski to become a regular starter for the national team unless Popov is not with the team with an injury or another reason. Lazevski grew up in the Partizan youth system and has played for two teams in Serbia in Partizan and Teleoptik which is were Partizan usually sends young players to develop.
