The first leg games of the Macedonian Cup 1/8 finals will be played today. Two big clashes are on the schedule.

First League leaders Bregalnica Shtip is visiting Turnovo in one of the two cup derbies. The visitors have shown that are very ambitious this season and besides the league they will try to win the Cup for the first time. The same stands for Turnovo. Too bad that these two had to meet early in this stage, but at least they will put on a great performance. It will be their first meeting this season as they are yet to face each other in the league.

The same goes for Metalurg and Vardar, but these two already met in the league. It was a 2:2 draw at the same stadium, but since then both aren’t in good relations after Metalurg’s demand for a 3:0 win on the green table as there are issues with the documentation of Vardar’s newest acquisition Antonio Bujcheski. Both are striving for the Cup this season.

Interesting and tight clashes should be those between Gostivar and Napredok as well as Shkendija and Makedonija GjP. Napredok beat Gostivar 3:0 in the league, but this time Gostivar will be host and is seeking revenge. Shkendija is underperforming but still is small favourite over Makedonija who is struggling in the league.

Rabotnichki and Pelister shouldn’t have problems against Second League sides Novaci and Miravci. It is expected that these two will settle the winner even in the first leg.

The most mysterious and unpredictable are the games Sileks – Drita and Teteks – Renova. Both Sileks and Drita were relegated last season to the Second League and so far only Sileks has shown quality for a quick come back. Cup holders Teteks were also relegated and now have a difficult task against one of the trickiest teams, Renova.
