Macedonian Cup 1/8 finals first leg results

Macedonian CupRoad win for Napredok, minimal wins for Metalurg and Turnovo over Vardar and Bregalnica, Rabotnichki and Pelister won as expected, draw between Teteks and Renova.

The two derbies ended with the same result, a one goal win for the home teams. Bregalnica was doing well even with a red card, but a second expulsion was too much and eventually Turnovo scored through Pandev four minutes before time. Metalurg beat Vardar thanks to Vujović’s early goal. with the same result ended the Second League clash between Sileks and Drita. Mandak was the one who decided the winner in the 84th minute.

Big surprise happened in Gostivar were Napredok celebrated a huge 3:0 win. It was expected a tight game, even an away win wouldn’t have counted as a surprise, but not a huge 3:0 win. Dimoski scored a brace, while Montenegrin international Raičević set the final result.

Shkendija will have a good advantage over Makedonija GjP as they celebrated a 2:0 with the goals by Ismaili and Bejtulai. Pelister had some problems with Miravci, but after a goalless first half the eventually broke the visitors’ defence and scored twice. Rabotnichki was the most superior, winning with 4:0 against Novaci. The Second League side proved to be no match for the Club Hero.

Teteks played a four goals draw with Renova. The Cup holders had a 1:0 lead and a player more, but still Renova managed to come back.
