Goran Popov commented on operation

Defender Goran Popov made his first comments since undergoing a knee operation on Monday in Italy.

Goran Popov is still in Italy where he is currently undergoing rehab but he made his first comments since the knee operation.  Popov told Dynamo Kyiv’s official website, “On Monday, as expected, I had surgery on the meniscus in a clinic in Rome.  It has been four days after the surgery and I still feel no pain so everything is well.  I have slowly started to walk and perform therapy twice a day.  I plan on staying in Italy for one more week, then remove the stitches, before returning to Kyiv.”

Popov also mentioned that the doctor who operated on him is currently explaining the procedures that Popov needs to undergo during the recovery process.  Once he returns from Italy, Popov will either continue his rehab in Kyiv with his club team or in Macedonia if the Dynamo Kyiv doctors allow him to rehab home.  Popov hopes to resume training in the middle of January as the doctors have promised Goran that it will take about two months for him to return to his old form following the operation.
