After missing the first part of the season, Perica Stancheski eventually found a new club in then Serbian league.
Midfielder Perica Stancheski, who will turn 29 years old later this month, joined Serbian top division side Rad, scsport.ba reported. He was without a club since last summer when he left Bosnian club Zvijezda. Stancheski comes to Rad in order to help the team avoid relegation, as currently they are stuck at the bottom of the table.
“I believe the team is capable of avoiding relegation. You don’t participate in sport if you intend to surrender.” – Stancheski said at his presentation at Rad.
Perica was actually born in the Serbian capital, but he is of Macedonian origin and has represented Macedonian at an international level. He has featured once for the senior national team, and nine times for the U21 squad. Stancheski originally started his career with Serbian giants Partizan, and so far he has yet to play for any Macedonian club.
