FK Pelister has new president

Dimce Serovski is the new president of FK Pelister with his first priority being returning the Bitola based club to the top division.

Pelister, the pride of Bitola, has a new president after businessman Dimce Serovski received the most votes to take over the struggling club.  Pelister is one of the most important clubs in Macedonia but they have gone through some difficulties over the past couple of years and the club was relegated last season when they finished in last place in the Macedonian top division.  The fans were angry at the incompetent management so they hope the new president will turn things around.

As reported by newspaper “informator,” Serovski stated the following after being named president, “We must strive to return Pelister to the top division as soon as this season and return to contending for titles and reaching European competitions.  I can’t do this alone but with help from the rest of the members of the assembly and the board of directors, I am confident that we will realize that goal.”

Pelister is currently tied for first place in the Macedonian second division with 13 points after seven rounds.  Skopje, Miravci, and Tikves also have 13 points at the top of the table so the battle for promotion is expected to be tight.  The hope is that the new president will invest more money into the club so Pelister can return to being one of the top sides in Macedonian football.
