Saturday’s friendly between Galatasaray and River Plate saw Goran Pandev score a goal.
As part of the “International Royal Cup,” Galatasaray and Argentine power River Plate played a friendly on Saturday. Goran Pandev started for Galatasaray and scored the lone goal for his team in regulation. In the 41st minute, following a free kick, the ball found Pandev who scored on an easy tap-in from close range.

Pandev would play until the 51st minute when he was substituted by fellow striker Burak Yilmaz. The match would be tied at 1:1 after 90 minutes, so it went into a penalty shootout where River Plate prevailed 5:4.
