Palermo makes official the transfer of Trajkovski

The 22-year-old Aleksandar Trajkovski becomes the first summer signing for Palermo. He signed a 5-year contract. Since Trajkovski had one year remaining on his deal with Zulte Waregem, Palermo paid an undisclosed transfer fee to secure Trajkovski.

Trajkovski was signed to lessen the blow of Palermo losing Paulo Dybala. That Argentine playmaker will move to Juventus this summer. So, Palermo used some of that money to bring in Trajkovski. More reinforcements will be added in the coming weeks as Palermo looks to improve on its 11th place finish in Serie A.

Trajkovski took his Palermo medical last month. He’s currently with Macedonia’s national team, but with the season in Italy now over, Palermo decided to make the transaction official on Monday.

Interview that Trajkovski gave to the team’s youtube channel:

Overall, this is a very good transfer for Trajkovski. He was ready for a new challenge after spending the past couple of seasons in Belgium. Aleksandar has been a solid performer for both club and country, quickly becoming one of the key players on Macedonia’s national team.

We want to wish Trajkovski a lot of success in Serie A with Palermo.
