Goalkeeper Tome Pacovski collected another clean sheet during today’s goalless draw against Boban Grncarov and Lierse.
In five games during the month of December, Tome Pacovski has now compiled three clean sheets for Beerschot after today’s 0:0 home draw against Boban Grncarov and Lierse. Pacovski played from the start for Beerschot with his toughest save coming in the 9th minute when he parried away a shot by Flávio Amado and it went for a corner. Meanwhile, Boban Grncarov also played the entire game for his club team, Lierse, and received a yellow card in the 62nd minute for a foul on attacker Hernan Losada. Boban performed well in the centre of Lierse’s defense and contributed to the clean sheet by his team as well. After 19 rounds in the Belgian top division, Beerschot remained in 9th place with 25 points while Lierse is in 13th place with 17 points.
In the other game involving a Macedonian international in Belgium, Aleksandar Trajkovski and Zulte Waregem suffered a 1:0 road loss against Club Brugge. Trajkovski started the game on the bench for Zulte Waregem before he came on in the 56th minute replacing René Sterckx. His team was losing 1:0 by that point and Trajkovski could not provide a spark for the visitors so that turned out to be the final score as well. With the narrow loss, Zulte Waregem stayed in 14th place with 15 points.
These were the only two games today that featured Macedonian internationals in action. Many of the other leagues where Macedonian players feature were either on winter or holiday break.
