Ohrid executive director resigned

Amid the chaos at FK Ohrid, executive director Ilce Kalanoski has resigned after three years with the club.

The Ohrid players have gone months without receiving their salaries and premiums and wanted changes in the management of Ohrid.  Today, executive director Ilce Kalanoski stepped down on his his own for the better of the club.

Kalanoski told ohridnews.com, “For the good of the club, which I want to succeed, I have decided to resign from my position as executive director.  We were a couple of people who brought the team from the bottom of the second division to enter the first league.  However, because I am considered the problem for many people, here in interest of FK Ohrid, I will resign.  The title executive director was not important for me.  I want the club to succeed and help the players receive their lost wages.  I remain loyal to Ohrid and in no way can I stop supporting the club so that is why I came to the decision to resign.  I believe in the coach Dragan Antić and with him, the team will have a successful future.”

Ohrid hosts Napredok on Saturday at 14:00 CET in the 11th round of the Macedonian top division.
