Nikola Tonev returns to Kazakhstan with Sunkar

Central defender Nikola Tonev returned to Kazakhstan by signing a contract with newly promoted side Sunkar.

Nikola Tonev (26) returned to Kazakhstan where he signed a 1-year contract with Sunkar FK, a club that won promotion to the top division for this season.  Tonev is a central defender who played in Macedonia for Vardar and Shkendija before moving abroad.  He first played for Most in Czech Republic, then moved to Kazakhstan with Taraz, before he signed for Russian club Volgar-Gazprom.  Nikola now returns to Kazakhstan with Sunkar.  The new season over there will start on the 10th of March and Sunkar is scheduled to face Zhetysu at home in the opening game.
