The FFM governing board announced today that the 2012/13 Macedonian First League will get underway on 12 August.

The season was actually supposed to start a week earlier but new FFM president Ilcho Gjorgjioski decided to postpone it for a week so all of the teams can finalize procedures to transform into joint stock companies.  Most of the teams are making good progress on that front and the extra week should give them enough time to finalize the process.  Meanwhile, the new Macedonian Second League season will begin a day earlier on 11 August.  The draw for the schedule will be made this upcoming Monday on 6 August.
