Naumovski told to learn Romanian language

Goalkeeper Kristijan Naumovski has not played for Dinamo Bucureşti this season, in part because of his failure to grasp the Romanian language.

Naumovski will turn 23 years old in two days but has not played in an official game this year.  He has been on the bench as the #2 keeper for several games but mostly, Naumovski has been the #3 keeper behind Cristian Bălgrădean and George Curcă.  Naumovski has played in several games for the Dinamo Bucureşti II team who play in the Romanian second division.

The Romanian club still likes Kristijan Naumovski but the manager does not feel comfortable having a keeper who can’t communicate with his teammates.  Naumovski joined Dinamo Bucureşti in the summer of 2010 from Rabotnicki but he has still not made much strides learning the Romanian language.  Dinamo Bucureşti appointed a new manager in Liviu Ciobotariu for this season but he has not called up Naumovski for many games.

Apparently, Romanian newspapers are reporting that Naumovski has until January to learn the basics of the Romanian language that would allow him to communicate with his teammates.  The team is getting tired of waiting on Naumovski to learn Romanian and if he doesn’t improve, he will likely leave Dinamo Bucureşti in the January transfer window.

Last season, Naumovski made seven appearances for Dinamo Bucureşti but spent most of the season as the #2 keeper behind Cristian Bălgrădean.  However, as mentioned earlier in the article, Naumovski has yet to make an appearance for the first team of Dinamo Bucureşti this season, in part because of his struggles to grasp the Romanian language and his inability to communicate with teammates because of the language barrier.
