After going five matches without a win in Serie A action, Napoli snapped the streak today with a 2:0 win over Chievo.
In the past five league games prior to today’s encounter against Chievo, Napoli had compiled four draws and one loss to fall to a disappointing 7th place in Serie A. The winless streak was finally ended today with a comfortable 2:0 home win over Chievo. Napoli scored both goals in the 1st half through a header by Miguel Britos and a Edinson Cavani penalty.
Goran Pandev made a late substitute appearance for Napoli in the 77th minute when he replaced Ezequiel Lavezzi. Pandev did not have a quality chance during his time on the field as Napoli seemed satisfied with the score and waited for the referee to blow the final whistle.
