Midfielder Muarem Muarem has signed a 3 and a half year contract with Qarabağ from Azerbaijan.

The signing was reported in the Azerbaijani media and Muarem is expected to make his Qarabağ debut on 10 February against Simurq.  Muarem becomes the second Macedonian player on Qarabağ after Nderim Nedzipi and the fifth Macedonian to play his club football in Azerbaijan (Igor Mitreski, Slavco Georgievski, and Robert Petrov are the other three players).

Muarem is 23 years old and last played for Rabotnicki.  The move to Qarabağ will be his second foreign adventure as Muarem had a brief stint in Turkey with Orduspor.  Muarem has also won 3 caps for the Macedonian national team after formerly being a regular on the U21 team.
