Goran Maznov (L) scores his goal; photo: aokerkyra.com.grIvan Trickovski converted a spot kick in the penalty shootout to help APOEL reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, Goran Maznov scored the game winning goal for Kerkyra, while Kire Ristevski converted a penalty to lead Bylis to a victory in Albanian Cup action.

UEFA Champions League, Round of 16 (return leg), APOEL – Lyon 1:0  (APOEL won 4:3 on penalties)
Ivan Trickovski started on the bench for APOEL before he entered the game in the 73rd minute replacing Esteban Solari.  After 90 minutes, APOEL led 1:0 and since Lyon won the first leg with that score, the match went into extra time.  Neither club could score a goal in the 30 minutes of extra time so the game was decided by penalty kicks.  Trickovski, the fourth penalty kick taker for APOEL, converted his spot kick and helped his club reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

AFC Champions League, Group G, Tianjin Teda – Central Coast 0:0
Velice Sumulikoski played the entire game for Tianjin Teda and had a big chance around the 60th minute but his effort was saved by the opposing keeper.  Tianjin Teda opened group play of the AFC Champions League with a goalless draw against Australian side Central Coast.

Cyprus, Coca Cola Cup, Aris – Ethnikos Achnas 0:0
Edin Nuredinoski played from the start for Ethnikos Achnas and kept a clean sheet while his teammate Stojan Ignjatov did not play.  With the draw, Ethnikos Achnas advanced to the quarter-finals of the domestic cup by winning 2:0 on aggregate after winning the first leg with that score.

Czech Republic, Ondrášovka Cup, Viktoria Plzeň – Mladá Boleslav 1:1
Vladimir Dimitrovski played all 90 minutes for Mladá Boleslav at left CB.  On the goal by Viktoria Plzeň in the 57th minute, Dimitrovski felt he was fouled by the goalscorer who pushed off to create some space but the referee did not see it that way and let the equalizing goal stood.

Switzerland, Challenge League, Wohlen – Aarau 1:3
Aco Stojkov got the start for Aarau and played until the 67th minute when he was replaced by Marco Aratore.  Aarau currently finds itself in third place of the Swiss second division.

Azerbaijan, Unibank Premyer Liqası, Bakı – Neftçi 1:3
Both Igor Mitreski and Slavco Georgievski played the entire game for Neftçi who cruised to a comfortable road victory over Bakı.

Azerbaijan, Unibank Premyer Liqası, Qarabağ – Simurq 2:0
Muarem Muarem started for Qarabağ and played until the 78th minute when he was replaced by fellow Macedonian international Nderim Nedzipi.

Azerbaijan, Unibank Premyer Liqası, AZAL – Sumqayıt 6:3
Robert Petrov played all 90 minutes for AZAL.

Greece, Superleague Greece, Kerkyra – Levadiakos 3:2
Goran Maznov started on the bench for Kerkyra before he entered the game in the 83rd minute replacing Ioannis Karalis.  One minute later, on his first touch, Maznov fired a shot past the visiting keeper to score the game winner for Kerkyra.  Maznov also received a yellow card in the 88th minute.

Bulgaria, A PFG, Lokomotiv Sofia – Lokomotiv Plovdiv 2:0
Dragi Kocev started for Lokomotiv Plovdiv and played until the 71st minute when he was replaced by Ilian Yordanov.

Netherlands, Eerste Divisie, Apeldoorn – Oss 3:2
Aleksandar Stankov played until the 84th minute for Oss when he was replaced by Charlie van den Ouweland while his teammate and twin brother Antonio Stankov remains out with an injury.

Belarus, Superkubok Belarus, BATE Borisov – Gomel 0:2
Bojan Gjorgievski was not called up by BATE who lost the Belurusian Super Cup against Gomel.

Albania, Kupa e Shqipërisë, Bylis – Kastrioti 3:1
Kire Ristevski played the entire game for Bylis and opened the scoring in the 12th minute when he converted a penalty.  Ristevski was also shown a yellow card in the 13th minute.

Albania, Kupa e Shqipërisë, Flamurtari – Laçi 1:1
Nijaz Lena played all 90 minutes for Flamurtari.
