Ivan Trickovski and APOEL reached the knockout stage of the Champions League, Goran Pandev and Napoli upset Manchester City to move into second place of Group A, Stefan Ristovski made his debut for Crotone, while the clubs of Aleksandar Lazevski, Daniel Mojsov, and Stefan Spirovski reached the semi-finals of the Serbian Cup.
UEFA Champions League, Group A, Napoli – Manchester City 2:1
Goran Pandev started on the bench for Napoli before he entered the game in the 83rd minute replacing Edinson Cavani. Napoli celebrated an impressive win over the table leaders in England to move into second place of Group A thanks to a goal in each half from striker Edinson Cavani. Napoli now controls its own destiny and will advance to the Champions League Round of 16 with a win over Villarreal on 7 December in the sixth and final matchday of the group.
UEFA Champions League, Group G, Zenit – APOEL 0:0
Ivan Trickovski started for APOEL and played until the 90th minute when he was replaced by Aldo Adorno. Trickovski had a good opportunity in the 79th minute but his effort from a good position following a cross from the right by Athos Solomou went well over the goal. With the draw, APOEL clinched a place in the knockout phase of the competition.
Serbia, Lav Kup Srbije, OFK Beograd – Partizan 0:2
Aleksandar Lazevski was not among the 18 players called up by Partizan. Vladimir Volkov returned for Partizan so that led to Lazevski not even making the bench as his club advanced to the next round of the domestic cup with the comfortable win over OFK Beograd.
Serbia, Lav Kup Srbije, Vojvodina – Javor 1:0
Daniel Mojsov played all 90 minutes for Vojvodina and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet. Mojsov came close to scoring in the 48th minute but his header following a corner kick went just over the goal. For Javor, Nikola Jakimovski started the game on the bench before he came on in the 80th minute replacing Eliomar Silva. Jakimovski also received a yellow card in the 85th minute as Vojvodina scored the lone goal of the game two minutes later thanks to striker Aboubakar Oumarou.
Serbia, Lav Kup Srbije, Borac Čačak – Spartak Zlatibor Voda 0:0 (Borac Čačak advanced 4:2 on penalties)
Stefan Spirovski played the entire game for Borac Čačak while Fahrudin Gjurgjević was not called up by Spartak Zlatibor Voda. Borac Čačak advanced to the semi-finals of the Serbian Cup by winning 4:2 on penalties after it was 0:0 after 90 minutes.
Slovenia, 1. SNL, Maribor – Gorica 2:1
Agim Ibraimi started for Maribor and played until the 59th minute when he was replaced by Marcos Tavares. Ibraimi attempted two shots in the 37th and 44th minute but both of his efforts were saved by the Gorica keeper with the first save resulting in a corner for Maribor.
Italy, Coppa Italia, Bologna – Crotone 4:2
Stefan Ristovski began the game on the bench for Crotone before he came on in the 66th minute replacing Pedro Correia. Crotone was down 4:0 at that time but added two goals to make it 4:2. Ristovski played a part in the second goal for Crotone in the 80th minute when he took a quick throw in from the right which reached one of his teammates whose good cross from the right led to a penalty. A Crotone striker was fouled from behind while getting ready to connect on the cross so the referee pointed to the spot and also gave the Bologna defender a straight red card. This was Ristovski’s debut for the first team of Crotone who was eliminated from the Italian Cup with the loss to Bologna.
Switzerland, Challenge League, Aarau – St. Gallen 2:2
Aco Stojkov started for Aarau and played until the 71st minute when he was replaced by Moustapha Dabo. Aarau had to settle for a point against the current leaders in the Swiss second division after conceding the equalizing 2:2 goal in the third minute of stoppage time in the 90th minute.
Bulgaria, Kupa na Bulgaria, Bansko – Levski 0:1
Darko Tasevski did not make the Levski squad because of a minor injury as his club advanced to the next round of the Bulgarian Cup by narrowly edging Bansko.
Bulgaria, Kupa na Bulgaria, Chavdar – Lokomotiv Plovdiv 0:2
Dragi Kocev started on the bench for Lokomotiv Plovdiv before he entered the game in the 10th minute replacing the injured Zdravko Lazarov who was then taken to a hospital. With the win, Lokomotiv Plovdiv also advanced to the next round of the Bulgarian Cup.
Moldova, Cupa Moldovei, Sfîntul Gheorghe – Dacia 2:6
Goran Dimovski was not called up Dacia as he given a rest while his teammate Kemal Alomerović got the start and played until the 63rd minute when he was replaced by Maxim Mihailov. Dacia easily advanced to the quarter-finals of the Moldovan Cup where they will face Tiraspol.
Moldova, Cupa Moldovei, Tiraspol – Saksan 6:0
Jasmin Mecinović did not play for Tiraspol because of an injury. As mentioned earlier, Tiraspol will face Dacia in the quarter-finals of the Moldovan Cup.
