Midweek internationals performances

Ilco Naumoski tries a shot against Rapid Wien; photo: svm.atIlco Naumoski returned from his suspension for Mattersburg, Slavco Georgievski scored a goal for Neftçi while Besart Ibraimi made his league debut for Sevastopol.

Russia, Kubok Rossii, Sibir – Spartak Moskva 0:2
Velice Sumulikoski played the entire game for Sibir and also picked up a yellow card in the 72nd minute as his team was eliminated from the Russian Cup.

Austria, T-Mobile Bundesliga, Mattersburg – Rapid Wien 1:0
Ilco Naumoski returned from his suspension for Mattersburg by getting the start and playing until the 79th minute when he started cramping up and had to be substituted by Thomas Salamon.  Naumoski was active and had a very good game with two good opportunities but he couldn’t score on both occasions.  In the 32nd minute, Naumoski should have opened the scoring following a corner which first reached Patrick Bürger whose header fell perfectly for Naumoski but his header from close range went over the goal.  Then in the 68th minute, Naumoski showed great skill when he dribbled past three opposing players and he had a great chance to score but the shot by Naumoski was saved and the keeper was able to gather the ball thus not giving Naumoski a chance to score on the rebound.  Naumoski also picked up a yellow card in the 22nd minute when he jumped in the air following a goal kick but his left elbow inadvertently hit Rapid Wien defender Ragnvald Soma in the face and Naumoski has a bad reputation amongst referees in Austria so he was given a yellow card.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Sevastopol – Shakhtar Donetsk 0:1
Besart Ibraimi started for Sevastopol and played until the 60th minute when he was replaced by Ihor Skoba.  Ibraimi played as a left winger in a 4-2-3-1 formation and he attempted two shots in the first half with the first coming in the 4th minute but his shot from outside of the box went over the goal and then in the 41st minute, Ibraimi came close to scoring but his volley following a corner kick went just wide of the goal.  Ibraimi also received a yellow card just before halftime for diving while on a counter attack for Sevastopol.  Sevastopol battled and played hard but they were unlucky as Shakhtar Donetsk scored the only goal of the game in the fifth minute of stoppage time in the 90th minute.

Switzerland, Schweizer Cup, Thun – Neuchâtel Xamax 1:1  (Neuchâtel Xamax advanced 3:0 on penalties)
Muhamed Demiri did not play for Thun because of an injury as his team was eliminated from the Swiss Cup.

AFC Champions League, Pakhtakor – Al-Nassr 2:2
Dusan Savić started for Pakhator and played until the 79th minute when he was replaced by Temurkhodja Abdukholiqov.

Italy, Viareggio Cup, Parma – Lazio 2:0
Stefan Ristovski played from the start for Parma as they advanced to the next round of the tournament with the win over Lazio.

Italy, Viareggio Cup, Fiorentina – Parma 0:0 (Fiorentina advanced 5:4 on penalties)
Stefan Ristovski
started at RB and played the entire game for Parma. It was 0:0 after 90 minutes so it went into extra time where neither team could score so penalties decided this encounter with Fiorentina coming out on top. Ristovski did not take a penalty for Parma as they were eliminated from the Viareggio Cup with this loss.

Hungary, Magyar Kupa, Kecskeméti – Debrecen 3:1
Mirsad Mijadinoski played the entire game for Debrecen.

Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Cup, Neftçi – Khazar Lankaran 3:4
Both Igor Mitreski and Slavco Georgievski played the entire game for Neftçi as Georgievski also scored the third goal for his team in the 70th minute. This was the first leg of the Azerbaijan Cup matchup between these two rivals which turned into a very entertaining game with a total of seven goals.

Filip Despotovski started for Inter Bakı and played until the 55th minute when he was replaced by Bronislav Červenka.

Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Cup, AZAL – Turan Tovuz 2:0
Robert Petrov played all 90 minutes for AZAL.

Moldova, Divizia Naţională, Milsami – Sheriff 0:1
Jasmin Mecinovic did not play for Sheriff.

Moldova, Divizia Naţională, Olimpia Bălţi – Dacia 1:2
Goran Dimovski played all 90 minutes for Dacia.

Friendly, Dynamo Kyiv – Spartak Nalchik 2:0
Goran Popov played the entire game for Dynamo Kyiv.

Friendly, Partizan – Koper 4:3
Aleksandar Lazevski started at LB and played the 1st half for Partizan while youngster Filip Timov recently signed with Koper from Macedonian club Belasica and he played in the 2nd half for his team who suffered a narrow loss as Partizan scored the game winning goal in the 90th minute to pick up a 4:3 victory.
