Midweek internationals performances

Ibraimi dribbles ball in Cagliari - Verona match; photo: zimbio.comAgim Ibraimi was handed a start by Cagliari, Darko Tasevski and Mario Gjurovski each scored a goal for their respective teams in Thailand, Stevica Ristikj added another goal for Jeonnam, while Darko Glishikj snatched a quick goal for Dinamo Tbilisi.

Italy, Serie A, Catania – Napoli 2:4
Goran Pandev was an unused substitute for Napoli.

Italy, Serie A, Cagliari – Verona 1:0
Agim Ibraimi got the start for Cagliari and played until the 70th minute when he was replaced by Andrea Cossu.  Ibraimi played on the wing in a 4-3-2-1 formation and made a solid contribution by mostly creating chances for teammates.  Cagliari picked up an important three points to put some distance away from the relegation zone.

Italy, Serie B, Latina – Pescara 0:2
Stefan Ristovski started for Latina and played until the 68th minute when he was substituted by Abdelkader Ghezzal.  Latina, a pleasant surprise for most of the season, has struggled lately as they lost their third consecutive game.

Germany, 1.Bundesliga, Eintracht Braunschweig – Mainz 3:1
Nikolche Noveski played the entire game for Mainz who suffered a bad loss against the last placed team on the standings in Germany.

Romania, Cupa României, Steaua București – Dinamo București 5:2
Neither Daniel Georgievski nor Martin Bogatinov were called up by Steaua București, while Kristijan Naumovski stayed on the bench for Dinamo București as the #2 keeper behind Cristian Bălgrădean.

Romania, Cupa României, Petrolul – Astra 0:0
Mirko Ivanovski was not included in the 18 player matchday squad by Astra.

Romania, Liga II, Olt Slatina – CS Universitatea Craiova 0:1
Tome Kitanovski was an unused substitute for CS Universitatea Craiova.

Thailand, Toyota Thai Premier League, Chonburi – Bangkok Glass 3:2
Darko Tasevski played all 90 minutes for Bangkok Glass and contributed on both goals for his team in the 2nd half.  In the 60th minute, Tasevski scored his first goal in a Bangkok Glass uniform with a left footed shot to the back of the net, while his assist came ten minutes later when his pass was headed home by Teeratep Winothai.

Thailand, Toyota Thai Premier League, Muangthong United – Ratchaburi 1:2
Mario Gjurovski started for Muangthong United and played until the 72nd minute when he was replaced by Dagno Siaka.  Gjurovski scored the lone goal for Muangthong in the 42nd minute when the ball found him following a corner kick and Mario did the rest with a precise shot past the visiting keeper.  However, Ratchaburi would score two late goals to take home all three points.

Austria, tipp3 Bundesliga, Grödig – Sturm Graz 0:6
Aleksandar Todorovski played the whole match for Sturm Graz and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet in the dominant road victory over Grödig.  Todorovski contributed on the sixth and final goal in the 88th minute when he found his teammate Manuel Weber who then made a low cross towards goal that was sent to the back of the net by Daniel Beichler.

Serbia, Lav Kup Srbije, OFK Beograd – Jagodina 1:2
Darko Micevski started in midfield for OFK Beograd and played until the 67th minute when he was substituted by Mitar Novaković, while Nikola Jakimovski did not feature for Jagodina.  Micevski had his best opportunity in the 57th minute when his shot was well saved by the opposing keeper.

Netherlands, KNVB Beker, Zwolle – N.E.C. 2:1
Denis Mahmudov was an unused substitute for Zwolle who advanced to the Dutch Cup finals with the narrow triumph over N.E.C.

Bulgaria, A Group, Lokomotiv Sofia – Beroe 0:0
Stefan Spirovski got the start for Beroe and played until the 72nd minute when he made way for Georgi Dinkov.  Spirovski had one attempt in the 17th minute that went just over the goal.

Bulgaria, A Group, Chernomorets – Neftochimic 4:0
Aleksandar Damchevski played the entire game for Chernomorets and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet in the comfortable home victory over Neftochimic.

South Korea, K League Classic, Jeonnam – Ulsan Hyundai 1:0
Stevica Ristikj played from the start for Jeonnam and scored the lone goal of the match in the 8th minute with a header following a corner kick from the right.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kup Bosne i Hercegovine, Sarajevo – Željezničar 0:0
Krste Velkoski started for Sarajevo and played until the 72nd minute when he was substituted by Dario Purić.  Velkoski created his two best chances in the 18th and 20th minute, but both of his shots went just wide of the target.  It was 1:1 on aggregate over the two games, but Sarajevo advanced to the semi-finals of the Bosnian Cup due to the away goal in the first leg.

Georgia, Umaglesi Liga, Dinamo Tbilisi – Metalurgi Rustavi 0:1
Darko Glishikj opened the game on the bench for Dinamo Tbilisi before he was introduced in the 82nd minute to replace Otar Martsvaladze.  The next minute, Glishikj scored the third goal for Dinamo Tbilisi with a left footed to the upper right corner.
