Stefan Ashkovski (#37) in action for Partizan; photo: partizan.rsStefan Ashkovski, Bojan Markoski and Muarem Muarem found the back of the net for their respective teams, Stefan Ristovski made his second consecutive start for Bari, while several other European leagues had domestic cup action this midweek which saw the surprising eliminations of clubs such as Partizan and Steaua București.

Italy, Serie A, Atalanta – Napoli 1:0
Goran Pandev played the entire game for Napoli and also received a yellow card in the 35th minute.

Italy, Serie B, Bari – Empoli 2:3
Stefan Ristovski played all 90 minutes for Bari who had a 2:0 lead at halftime but then collapsed after the break by conceded three goals on their way to a defeat against Empoli.

Germany, DFB-Pokal, Mainz – Erzgebirge Aue 2:0
Nikolche Noveski played the entire game for Mainz and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet.  Mainz reached the next round of the German Cup as this match was extra special for Noveski who faced one of his former clubs in Erzgebirge Aue.

Germany, DFB-Pokal, Wolfsburg – FSV Frankfurt 2:0
Ferhan Hasani was not included in the squad by Wolfsburg.

Belgium, Jupiler Pro League, Lierse – Club Brugge 3:2
Ivan Trichkovski was an unused substitute for Club Brugge.

Belgium, Jupiler Pro League, OH Leuven – Mechelen 3:1
Tome Pachovski played from the start for Mechelen and conceded three goals, one coming from a converted penalty in the 77th minute.  OH Leuven was also given another penalty earlier in the 27th minute but Pachovski saved that spot kick by Savaneh Ibou.

Belgium, Jupiler Pro League, Zulte Waregem – Charleroi 4:1
Aleksandar Trajkovski played all 90 minutes for Zulte Waregem who rolled to a comfortable home victory over Charleroi to remain tied for first place on the table alongside Anderlecht.

Ukraine, Kubok Ukraini, Shakhtar Sverdlovsk – Volyn 0:2
Vanche Shikov played the entire game for Volyn and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet while his teammate Dushan Savic started on the bench before he came on in the 64th minute replacing Danijel Subotic.  Volyn scored a goal in each half to advance to the quarter-finals of the Ukrainian Cup where they will face Dnipro.

Ukraine, Kubok Ukraini, Karpaty – Metalist 2:1
Martin Bogatinov played from the start for Karpaty and conceded one goal on a header from close range.  After the scored was tied at 1:1 following 90 minutes, the match went into extra time when Karpaty scored the game winner in the 107th minute to advance to the next round of the competition.  Karpaty had no luck in the draw, however, as they were drawn to face Shakhtar Donetsk in the quarter-finals of the domestic cup.

Ukraine, Kubok Ukraini, Nyva – Sevastopol 0:2
Besart Ibraimi was not among the 18 players called up by Sevastopol.

Romania, Cupa României, Concordia – Steaua București 0:0  (Concordia advanced 4:3 on penalties)
Daniel Georgievski was rested and did not play for Steaua București while Egzon Belica was an unused substitute by Concordia.  Steaua București was eliminated from the Romanian Cup by losing 3:4 in the penalty shootout.

Romania, Cupa României, Astra – Turnu Severin 5:1
Mirko Ivanovski started for Astra and played until the 83rd minute when he was substituted by Sadat Bukari.  On the first Astra goal in the 10th minute, Ivanovski passed the ball to David Distéfano who took a few dribbles before firing a shot past the visiting keeper.

Romania, Cupa României, Pandurii – Dinamo București 1:2
Kristijan Naumovski stayed on the bench for Dinamo București as the #2 keeper behind

Romania, Cupa României, Rapid București – Delta Tulcea 4:1
Bazhe Ilijoski was not included in the 18 player squad by Rapid București.

Slovenia, Pokal Slovenije, Zavrč – Maribor 0:2
Agim Ibraimi played all 90 minutes for Maribor who scored both goals in the 1st half to down Zavrč and reach the quarter-finals of the Slovenian Cup.

Israel, Ligat Winner, Ironi Kiryat Shmona – Hapoel Be’er Sheva 1:1
Darko Tasevski got the start for Ironi Kiryat Shmona and played until the 29th minute when he was substituted by Lior Levi.  The home side had a played sent off several minutes earlier so Tasevski was sacrificed for an extra defender in Levi.

Cyprus, Coca Cola Cup, Alki – Akritas 6:0
Nikola Gligorov did not play for Alki who easily reached the next round of the Cypriot Cup.

Cyprus, Coca Cola Cup, Apollon – APEP 5:0
Bojan Markoski played the entire game for Apollon and scored the second goal of the game in the 20th minute with an easy header from close range.

Bulgaria, Kupa na Bulgaria, Eurocollege Plovdiv – Botev Plovdiv 0:3
Boban Grncharov was given a rest and did not play for Botev Plovdiv who easily dispatched fellow Plovdiv based club Eurocollege to advance to the next round of the Bulgarian Cup.

Bulgaria, Kupa na Bulgaria, Pirin – Montana 3:2
Dragi Kocev played all 90 minutes for Pirin who ousted Montana to reach the next round of the domestic cup competition.

Serbia, Lav Kup Srbije, Partizan – Borac Čačak 1:2
Aleksandar Lazevski was an unused substitute for Partizan while his teammate Stefan Ashkovski played the entire game and scored the lone goal for the home side in the 31st minute.  Ashkovski created some space from his marker before firing a powerful right footed shot past the opposing keeper.  However, Partizan conceded two goals in the opening 21 minutes and was shockingly eliminated from the Serbian Cup by second division side Borac Čačak.

Austria, ÖFB-Cup, LASK Linz – Mattersburg 2:2  (LASK Lisk advanced 7:6 on penalties)
Ilcho Naumoski started the game on the bench for Mattersburg before he came on during the extra time period in the 119th minute replacing Patrick Farkas.  Since the score was 2:2 after the conclusion of extra time, the match went into penalties.  Naumoski took and converted the first penalty for Mattersburg but his club fell short and lost 6:7 to be eliminated from the Austrian Cup.

Azerbaijan, Topaz Premyer Liqası, Neftçi – Simurq 2:1
Igor Mitreski played all 90 minutes for Neftçi in the narrow home win over Simurq.

Azerbaijan, Topaz Premyer Liqası, Inter Bakı – Kapaz 3:1
Slavcho Georgievski played the entire game for Inter Bakı and also received a yellow card in the 31st minute.  The win moved Inter Bakı to first place on the table in Azerbaijan.

Edin Nuredinoski played from the start for Bakı and conceded two goals, the game winner by AZAL coming in the 76th minute

Azerbaijan, Topaz Premyer Liqası, Qarabağ – Gabala 1:2
Muarem Muarem got the start for Qarabağ and played until the 72nd minute when he was substituted by Selim Mostafa.  Muarem scored the lone goal for his team in the 59th minute, but it wasn’t enough as Galaba celebrated a road victory thanks to two quick goals during a three minute stretch in the 32nd and 34th minute.

Sweden, Allsvenskan, Mjällby – Elfsborg 2:3
Daniel Ivanovski started for Mjällby at right-back and played until the 80th minute when he was replaced by Patrik Rosengren.

Sweden, Allsvenskan, Malmö – Örebro 1:1
Armend Alimi was not included in the squad by Örebro.

Kazakhstan, Kubok Kazakhstan, Shakhter – Astana 2:1
Filip Ivanovski started for Astana and played until the 77th minute when he was substituted by Tanat Nuserbaev while his teammate Dimitrija Lazarevski played all 90 minutes at left back during the first leg of the club’s semi-final matchup against Shakhter.  The return leg takes place on 5 November to decide which club will reach the Kazakh Cup final.
