Metalurg struck a deal with Slovácko and took on loan U21 national team striker Ilija Nestorovski.
Metalurg has secured Macedonian U21 international Ilija Nestorovski for the second half of the season. His club Slovácko agreed to loan Nestorovski to second-placed Metalurg. Ilija will surely be a big reinforcement for Metalurg in their race for first place with Vardar.
Ilija Nestorovski started his career with hometown club Pobeda Prilep before moving to Slovácko in January of 2010. In the past six months, he was loaned to another Czech club Viktoria Žižkov but will now be a part of Metalurg. The Skopje based club also wanted Marjan Altiparmakovski on loan to have more options in attack but Xanthi was not interested in such a deal.
Besides Nestorovski, Metalurg also got Serbian midfielder Ninoslav Karapandžić. Previously, Ohrid’s Hristijan Dimoski and Filip Mitreski also signed for the club. Metalurg started their winter preparations in Negorski Banji. They have now returned to Skopje and will play a friendly against Lokomotiva tomorrow before moving to Ohrid for their final training camp to get ready to start the second half of the season. Metalurg is only five points behind the table leaders Vardar.
