Shkendija’s attacker Mensur Kurtisi signed with Kazakh top division club Tobol from the city of Kostanay.
Mensur Kurtisi was already on trial at Tobol and even managed to score two goals during yesterday’s friendly against Flamurtari from Albania. That convinced the club board to offer him a contract which Kurtisi accepted to officially become a member of Tobol.
The 25-year-old Kurtisi spent only half a season with Shkendija, where he arrived last summer, and scored five goals in 14 league games. Tobol will be his sixth foreign club after Austrian sides Rapid Wien, Parndorf, and Magna Wiener Neustadt, Al-Taawon from Saudi Arabia, and Al-Shaab from the United Arab Emirates. Mensur has also won 2 caps for the Macedonian national team.
Tobol finished in only 7th place last season and will look to improve on that position in March when the new season starts in the Kazakhstan Premier League.
