Macedonian squad for Nations League closing matches

National team coach Igor Angelovski announced the list of players summoned for the last two matches of the first edition of the UEFA Nations League against Liechtenstein and Gibraltar.

Angelovski called up 21 players for these crucial matches. Macedonia will not just have to confirm the first place, but will must win both games in order to collect more points in the overall ranking of the first-placed teams that will not only be decisive for the future play-offs, but also for the pot allocation of the upcoming EURO qualifying draw.

Of the players, keep in mind that Elmas and Alioski will only be available for the later match against Gibraltar. The first will serve e red card suspension, while the later has collected yellow cards.

Angelovski made one surprising call by summoning attacker Krste Velkoski who is having a good time in the Bosnian top flight where he serves as captain. The coach added that 1.MFL top goalscorer Besart Ibraimi also got a call, but meanwhile he got injured.

Due to injuries unavailable are second keeper David Mitov Nilsson, lateral defender Stefan Ristovski and central defender Darko Velkovski. The last actually missed the entire Nations League.

Macedonia will first travel to face Liechtenstein on 16 October, while three days later will host Gibraltar in Skopje in the closing round of the first edition of the UEFA Nations League.
