Goran Pandev and Inter played their first friendly of the summer, Stevica Ristić with another two goals for Bunyodkor, while Mirko Ivanovski is on trial at Polish club Arka Gdynia.

Dynamo Kyiv manager Valery Gazzaev expected Goran Popov to make his debut in this game but that was not the case as Popov is still not ready and once again did not play because of an injury.

Ilco Naumoski was serving the third of his five game suspension for Mattersburg while his teammate and the most capped Macedonian international Goce Sedloski was back in the first team.  Sedloski’s role this year was to be an assistant coach and also play for the amateur team but a Mattersburg defender picked up a red card last week so Mattersburg needed an extra defender and Sedloski was called up for this game.  He started on the bench before he came on in the 77th minute replacing Alexander Pöllhuber.  The score was 3:1 when Sedloski entered and that’s how it ended as well.

Belgium, Jupiler League, Racing Genk – Germinal Beerschot 2:1
Tome Pacovski played all 90 minutes for Germinal Beerschot.  There were a total of eight yellow cards in this match including Pacovski’s teammate Mikulić who picked up two yellow cards with the second one coming in the 78th minute.  Racing Genk took advantage of playing with an extra man and scored the game winning goal in the 84th minute.

Nderim Nedzipi was not called up by Lierse.

Switzerland, Challenge League, Yverdon-Sport – Aarau 2:0
Aco Stojkov started on the bench for Aarau before he came on at the start of the 2nd half replacing Marco Aratore.  Stojkov almost scored in the 76th minute but his shot was just over the goal.  According to some Swiss newspapers, Stojkov wants to leave Aarau and hasn’t been giving his all in practice.  He has told Aarau management that he is concerned that staying in the Challenge League will affect his status on the national team so he would like to leave for a team in a stronger league.

Ilija Nestorovski was not among the 18 players called up by Slovácko.

Riste Naumov did not play for Slavia Praha because of an injury while Vladimir Dimitrovski was an unused substitute for Mladá Boleslav.

Darko Tasevski got the start for Levski and played until the 69th minute when he was replaced by Lachezar Baltanov.  Tasevski had two shots on goal in the 20th and 27th minute but both times his shots were just wide of the goal.

Dragi Kocev made his debut for Lokomotiv Plovdiv and played until the 79th minute when he was replaced by Rangel Abushev.  His team took the lead in the 60th minute but the home team equalized in the 84th minute.

Zoran Zlatkovski played all 90 minutes for Pirin.

Vlade Lazarevski played the entire game for Lokomotiv Astana while Bobi Bozinovski started on the bench before he came on in the 83rd minute replacing Andronic who scored the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute.

Armend Alimi started for Istra 1961 before he was substituted in the 58th minute by former Vardar player Bosko Stupić.

Aleksandar Trajkovski did not play for Inter Zaprešić because he is still only 17 and can’t play for them until he turns 18.  He will turn 18 on September 5th.

Kristijan Naumovski was an unused substitute as he was the #2 keeper for Dinamo Bucureşti.

Stevica Ristic continued his good form with another two goals for Bunyodkor.  He played the entire game and his goals were scored in the 19th and 53rd minute.

Mirsad Mijadinoski recently played the entire game in the third round of the Champions League qualifications so he was rested and did not play for Debreceni.

Dejan Miloseski played all 90 minutes for the visitors.

Darko Tofiloski played the entire game for Košice and the only goal he conceded was in the 80th minute from a penalty by Robert Rák.

Daniel Ivanovski did not play for Mjällby because of an injury.

Friendly, Manchester City – Inter 0:3
Goran Pandev was given the start by new Inter manager Rafa Benitez and had a very good game.  Goran scored a goal in the 16th minute after a nice pass by Coutinho but it was wrongly ruled offside by the referee.  Three minutes later, Pandev was fouled by Vincent Kompany from behind and didn’t like it so he got up and pushed Company who retaliated and pushed Pandev back which led to the referee giving both of them yellow cards.  Pandev then almost came close to scoring in the 24th minute but his shot was just wide of goal.  Pandev played a part in Inter’s 2nd goal in the 54th minute with a beautiful long pass on a counter attack which found Victor Obinna who took a shot that was deflected off a defender Lescott for a goal.  Pandev was substituted in the 62nd minute as Rafa Benitez made five changes including Pandev being replaced by Samuel Eto’o.

Friendly, Eintracht Frankfurt – Chelsea 2:1
Aleksandar Vasoski did not play for Eintracht because of an injury while his teammate Oka Nikolov played the 1st half.

Friendly, Brentford – Crystal Palace 1:1
Velice Sumulikoski was given another chance to impress by Crystal Palace manager George Burley and once again played the entire game but his team was held to a draw by Brentford.  Sumulikoski played in two friendlies on his trial with Crystal Palace and we should know soon whether or not Crystal Palace plan to sign Velice.

Edin Nuredinoski played the 1st half for Ethnikos Achnas, Vance Sikov and Stojance Ignjatov played the 2nd half, while Filip Ivanovski didn’t play because he is nursing a minor injury.

Mirko Ivanovski is on trial at Arka Gdynia and played the 1st half but he was substituted before the start of the 2nd half.  The score at halftime was 1:0.  When asked about Mirko’s status after the game, the Arka Gdynia manager said that you can see that Mirko has an idea about the game but the decision about whether to sign him is not only up to him but also to the sporting director and the scouts.

Friendly, Heerenveen – Mallorca 4:0
Samir Fazli started on the bench for Heerenveen before he entered the game in the 2nd half replacing Bas Dost.  This was the last friendly for Heerenveen as their next game is the first round of the Dutch Eredivisie against PSV Eindhoven.
