Macedonian Internationals performances

Jane NikolovskiDarko Tasevski suffers a knee injury for Levski, while all Macedonian internationals in Belgium had their games postponed because of snow.

Italy, Serie A, Napoli – Inter 0:0
Goran Pandev was partnered by Diego Milito in a 4-3-1-2 formation with Wesley Sneijder back in the trequartista role.  It was a pretty quiet 1st half for Pandev and Inter but then in the 62nd minute, Pandev had the best chance of the game for Inter but his shot was straight at the keeper.  Pandev was substituted in the 71st minute when Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o came on but Inter failed to trouble the Napoli defense and it finished 0:0.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Hertha – Mainz 1:1
Nikolce Noveski played the entire game for Mainz, who were held to a draw by the last place team in the German Bundesliga.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Schalke 04 – Koln 2:0

Besart Ibraimi was not among the 18 players called up by Schalke 04.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt – Freiburg 2:1
Oka Nikolov started in goal for Eintracht and made some good saves but it was his error that led to Freiburg’s goal.  It was a harmless cross but Nikolov made an error and Freiburg took the shock lead.  Eintracht equalized in the 40th minute and won it in the 90th minute when January signing Halil Altintop scored from ten meters to give Eintracht all three points. Aleksandar Vasoski remains out with a knee injury.

France, Ligue 1, Auxerre – Rennes 1:0
Robert Popov continues to be left out by Auxerre.

Netherlands, Eredivisie, Heerenveen – Ajax 0:2
Goran Popov played all 90 minutes for Heerenveen and was at fault for the first goal scored by Ajax in the 49th minute.  Heerenveen’s coach Jan Everse felt Popov and his fellow defender Kristian Nielsen were nonchalant and gifted Ajax a goal.  Heerenveen battled back and tried to score an equalizer but one of their players received a red card in the 73rd minute and that made things extremely difficult.  Eventually, Ajax put the game away in the 90th minute when they scored their 2nd goal.

England, League Championship, Preston North End – Blackpool 0:0
Velice Sumulikoski was not called up once again by Preston manager Darren Ferguson.

Belgium, Jupiler League, Germinal Beerschot – Zulte-Waregem
Postponed so no game for Tome Pacovski and Germinal Beerschot.

Belgium, Jupiler League, Cercle Brugge – Lokeren
Postponed as this game affected Igor Gjuzelov of Cercle Brugge and Ertan Demiri of Lokeren

Belgium, EXQI League, Tournai – Lierse
Postponed so no game for Nderim Nedzipi and Lierse.

Austria, T-Mobile Bundesliga, Mattersburg – Magna Wr Neustadt 1:0
Ilco Naumoski started for Mattersburg despite being bothered by a knee injury.  He helped prevent a goal in the 4th minute when he cleared a ball off the line from a corner by Magna and tested the keeper on a free kick from 25 meters in the 23rd minute but his shot was just over.  Naumoski played until the 82nd minute while his teammate Goce Sedloski was serving a suspension for having 5 yellow cards.  For Magna Wr Neustadt, Macedonia born Mensur Kurtisi started on the bench before he came on in the 64th minute replacing Diego Viana.

Switzerland, Axpo Super League, Grasshoppers – Aarau
Postponed for security reasons because the Swiss Football League found several cracks in the roof structure.  The game has been rescheduled for March 10th.  Aarau has two Macedonians on their team in Aco Stojkov and Orhan Mustafi.

Switzerland, Axpo Super League, Sion – Zurich 1:1

Aleksandar Mitreski played all 90 minutes for Sion who took the lead in the 78th minute but Zurich equalized in the 89th minute when Milan Gajic converted a penalty.

Cyprus, Protathlima A’Katigopias, AE Paphos – Apop Kinyras Peyias 3:2
Jane Nikoloski played the entire game for Paphos and saved a penalty in the 28th minute when his team was up 1:0.  Paphos was up 3:1 when the referee awarded another penalty to Apop in the 89th minute but this time they scored to make it 3:2 and that’s how it ended.

Cyprus, Protathlima A’Katigopias, AEL – Ermis Aradippou 2:1

Vlatko Grozdanoski remains out with an injury for AEL.

Cyprus, Protathlima A’Katigopias, Ethnikos Achnas – Anorthosis 1:3
Edin Nuredinoski and Vance Sikov played all 90 minutes for Ethnikos while Slavco Georgievski played until the 81st minute.  Sikov had a great chance in the 70th minute but his header was wide.

Cyprus, Protathlima A’Katigopias, Omonia – Enosis Neon Paralimni 0:0
Petar Milosevski, Bojan Markovski, and Ivan Trickovski all started for the visitors and played a huge role in the draw.  Trickovski threatened in the 2nd minute with a strong shot but it was saved by the Omonia keeper.  Bojan Markovski was solid in defense and Petar Milosevski made two great saves in the 34th and 80th minute.  Omonia is 2nd in the Cyprus League so this was a good result for Enosis Neon Paralimni, who are coached by Cedomir Janevski.

Israel, Ligat HaAl, Maccabi Petah Tikva – Ashdod 1:1
Vanco Trajanov was an unused substitute for Maccabi Petah Tikva.

Israel, Liga Leumit, Hapoel Kiryat Shmona – Hapoel Irony Nir Ramat Hasharon 1:0

Zoran Baldovaliev started and played until the 90th minute for the home team, who are 1st place in the Liga Leumit and stand to get promoted to the top Israeli League if they can finish in the top 2.

Greece, B Ethniki, Doxa Dramas – Agrotikos Asteras 0:1

Dejan Blazevski played all 90 minutes for the visitors and scored the lone goal of the game in the 65th minute from a free kick.

Club Friendly, CSKA Sofia – Slovan 3:0
Igor Mitreski started and played until the 72nd minute for CSKA.

Club Friendly, Levski Sofia – Legia 0:2
Darko Tasevski came on at the start of the 2nd half and suffered a knee injury in the 90th minute.  Tasevski will undergo tests to see how serious the injury is.  For Legia, Pance Kumbev did not play.

Club Friendly, Vojvodina – Slavia Sofia 4:2
Mario Gjurovski played all 90 minutes for Vojvodina while Daniel Mojsov came on in the 2nd half.  For Slavia, Robert Petrov played the entire game.

Club Friendly, Rijeka – Minyor Pernik 3:0

Vlade Lazarevski played all 90 minutes for Rijeka.

Club Friendly, Istra – Gorica 4:2
Armend Alimi played until the 58th minute for Istra.
