Besart Abdurahimi opened on the bench for Lokeren before he was introduced in the 58th minute to replace Nill De Pauw.  Abdurahimi created two good chances in the latter stages of the game, but his first effort in the 89th minute went just wide of the goal while his second opportunity deep into stoppage time struck the post.

Kristijan Naumovski played from the start for Levski and kept a clean sheet in the narrow victory over Cherno More. The only goal by Levski came deep into stoppage time courtesy of Valeri Bojinov.  Levski continues to play musical chairs at the keeper position.  With Plamen Iliev still injured, the manager benched Aleksandar Lyubenov and inserted Naumovski who also played one game for the Levski U21 team on 26 August.

Bulgaria, A Group, Slavia – Litex Lovech 0:2
Kire Ristevski played the entire game for Slavia and was credited with an own goal in the 90th minute.  On that goal, the ball hit the top of the crossbar and was heading into the net, but Ristevski tried to make a clearance.  It was simply too late to stop the momentum of the ball and his lunge to clear it just ensured an own goal as opposed to a goal by the opposing player.
