Vance Sikov played the entire game for Volyn and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet. Sikov took three free kicks from distance but they all struck the wall as Volyn had considerably more shots than their opponent but a goal would not come and both teams settled for a point.

Tome Pacovski played from the start for Beerschot and kept a clean sheet in his season debut when it comes to league play. Pacovski started after the usual starter Stijn Stijnen sustained a wrist injury in training that will keep him sidelined for six weeks. Pacovski had a scary moment in the 43rd minute when he collided with his teammate Sherjill MacDonald. It was a knee to knee collision and both players were down for several minutes. Pacovski was eventually able to continue and even admitted, after the game, that he took a painkiller at halftime because of the excruciating pain in his knee.

Nikola Gligorov played the entire game for Alki and scored the second goal for his team in the 58th minute with a powerful right footed shot from distance. The opposing keeper had no chance as this was Gligorov’s first goal since signing with Alki earlier in the summer.

Ilco Naumoski started for Mattersburg and played until the 76th minute when he was replaced by Thorsten Röcher. Naumoski scored the first goal for Mattersburg in the 67th minute when he connected on a cross from teammate Ivan Parlov to send his effort with the side of the foot to the back of the net past the visiting keeper. After Naumoski’s substitution, Mattersburg added two more goals in the 85th and 88th minute on their way to the 3:0 victory over Red Bull Salzburg.

Muhamed Demiri started in defensive midfield for Thun and played all 90 minutes as his team snapped a four game losing streak in league play with the 3:1 win over Luzern.
