Shkendija won against Metalurg in the derby of the round, while Pelister got past Bregalnica for their first win of the season.
The derby of the third round was played in Tetovo where Shkendija hosted Metalurg. Artim Shakjiri’s team managed to celebrate a narrow 1:0 win over Gjorgji Hristov’s team. Artim Polozhani scored the lone goal late in the game to hand Shkendija the three points.
An interesting match was played in Bitola between Pelister and Bregalnica Shtip. Although the stadium was to be without fans due to an incident earlier in the season, Pelister fans climbed the hill above the venue and managed to support their team from there. In the end, Pelister recorded all three points with Blagojche Glavevski heading home a cross by Filip Milenkovski.
Drita was convincing at home against Napredok and noted their first win in the First League. With goals by Vladimir Tuneski, Goran Stankovski and Betim Miftari, Drita won comfortable with the score of 3:0. Stankovski’s goal in particular stood out as he dribbled past several Napredok defenders before reaching the back of the net.
In Kratovo, fans saw an entertaining and high scoring match. Sileks opened the scoring through Nikola Georgiev in the 4th minute, then doubled the lead in the 20th minute with Blagojche Konjarski’s goal, seeming likely that Rabotnichki was headed for another loss after not showing much in the opening 45 minutes. However, they rebounded after the break with striker Genc Hyseni leading the way to score an incredible 4 goals in just 15 minutes to give his Rabotnichki a 2:4 lead. Gjorgji Zarevski reduced the deficit in the 75th minute but newcomer Ivan Ristovski put the game away in the dying moments with the fifth goal for Rabotnichki.
Yesterday, Renova and Horizont Turnovo shared the points in a goalless draw, while the round will be completed later today when Vardar hosts Teteks beginning at 20.00 CET.
