Round 14Vardar, led by striker Filip Ivanovski who scored 4 goals, destroyed Napredok, second placed Metalurg disappointed with a goalless draw at home against last placed 11 Oktomvri, while a thriller took place in the game between Bregalnica and Renova in Stip.

The player of this round is definitely striker Filip Ivanovski who scored 4 goals to lead his team to an easy 5:1 victory over Napredok from Kicevo.  Vardar struggled in the first half with only one goal that came on a converted the penalty kick by Filip Ivanovski.  However, the goals kept on coming after the break.  The popular Fico scored a quick hat trick in the second half in the span of four minutes (70th, 71st and 73rd), bringing Vardar a 5:0 lead as Brazilian midfielder Lico scored the other goal for Vardar.  Napredok only managed to score a consolation goal three minutes from time.

Second placed Metalurg failed to defeat last placed 11 Oktomvri in front of their own fans.  The goalless game ended with two red cards, one on each side.  First, the home team captain Mile Krstev received a direct red card for punching Vladimir Mojsovski in the face, while Vladimir Petreski was sent off near the end of the game for 11 Oktomvri.  With Vardar’s win and Metalurg’s draw, the difference between the two teams is now 7 points at the top of the table.

The most interesting game occurred in Stip where Bregalnica got past Renova with a narrow 3:2 victory with the game winner being scored in stoppage time.  After an exciting first half that ended 2:2, it looked like the game was heading to finish with that scoreline.  However, in the second minute of stoppage time, Aleksandar Ivanović scored the game winner after a great ball by Ivan Mitrov to send the home fans rejoicing the thrilling finish.  Bregalnica’s three goals were scored by two Serbian footballers with Ivanović scoring a brace for the Stip based club.

Ohrid’s undefeated streak of seven games finally came to an end today in Kratovo.  Their opponents, Sileks, were the better team and managed to claim all 3 points thanks to Stojance Nasevski’s goal in the first half.  Sileks moved to fourth place on the table with the slim home victory.

Horizont Turnovo surprised Teteks on the road in Tetovo by notching a comfortable 3:0 win.  The home team also finished the game with nine players after two Teteks players were shown red cards.  Mensur Idrizi received a direct red card in the 64th minute while Burhan Aliji was sent off in the dying moments of the game after picking up his second yellow card of the game.
